Michael Vick in the "Wildcat"

I really don't understand why people are wondering why vick isn't effective in the wildcat. Yes he put up the most rushing yards by a quarterback. He did this off of broken plays. In watching Vick with the Falcons, I can say that he didn't break on many designed running plays for him. That's not his game. Never was. The Virginia Tech option wasn't the same and neither is scrambling for 50 out of the Shotgun because of busted route running.

Yes. It was nice of the Eagles to bring him aboard and all that but with McNabb holding it down, there's no need for Vick. Vick's only effective when he's able to focus on passing. The threat of the deep ball was the reason he was able to have the defense at bay so that he could have the running room. The Wildcat does the exact opposite, so it can't even work with him.

The ultimate wildcat quarter back my ***. Let him do what he's been doing cuz he's still better than half the quarterbacks in the league by doing just that.

I couldn't agree more. My Eagles are wasting a roster spot on Vick the way they are using him now. I would be much happier if they looked at the plays that Vick had the most success with in Atlanta and allowed him to run similar plays for us. I'd rather them do this 5 times a game than lineup in the wildcat when everyone knows he's running or handing off. At first I was excited because I thought they were gonna use him in a change of pace roll or if the offense bogged down and I assumed they were keeping the plays basic so they can catch people off guard later in the season with a WC fake pass or two but so far they haven't shown this.
